The eponymous second single from Masta Ace Incorporated’s 1993 album SlaughtaHouse lampoons West Coast gangsta rap that was trending in early ‘90s hip-hop, showcasing Ace’s characteristic razor-sharp wit and cartoonish personas (in this case MC Negro and Ignant MC). This song was a factor in the creation of the Westside Connection as Ice Cube, Mack 10 and WC came together in 1995 on the collective’s debut track “Westside Slaughterhouse.”

Produced by Uneek, the first half of the track features two samples that were instrumental in a number of West Coast productions: Zapp’s “More Bounce to the Ounce” and “Funky Worm” by the Ohio Players. Eminem cites Ace as a key influence in his autobiography The Way I Am and produced a SlaughtaHouse remix for Delicious Vinyl Records' RMXXOLOGY in 2008.
