“Lady” is a collaboration between soul men D'Angelo and Raphael Saadiq that was released as the third single from Brown Sugar. The gold single peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The song was later remixed by DJ Premier and featured D'Angelo’s EMI labelmate AZ, while the remix video featured cameos from fellow neo-soul star Erykah Badu and singer Faith Evans, who D'Angelo worked with on a remix of her single “You Used to Love Me.”
