Lucid Dreams (Remix)

Lucid Dreams (Remix)

Juice WRLD (Ft. Lil Uzi Vert)

Chicago rapper Juice WRLD enlists the help of Philadelphia star Lil Uzi Vert for the remix to his July 2017 breakout hit “Lucid Dreams.” On the track, the rappers croon about lost love and reflect on how their relationships fell apart, while also offering hope for the future.

This track marks the third collaboration between the two artists following Juice’s July 2018 hit, “Wasted,“ and G Herbo’s “PTSD”. The remix was initially revealed within a now-deleted Instagram Live around mid-2018. The live showed a part of Uzi’s verse. A late-2020 low-quality snippet later surfaced which revealed Uzi’s full verse and him and Juice singing the chorus.

The track was originally speculated to appear on Juice WRLD’s debut album, Goodbye & Good Riddance; however, it was noticeably missing on the final tracklist. For quite a while, it was unclear when the track would fully be released, especially since the Reddit account that has been known to be Uzi’s, due to knowing the lyrics of songs prior to release, had stated that the song couldn’t drop, likely because of legal issues with Sting and Yellowcard which may prevent the people involved with dropping from even profiting.

The track leaked in its entirety on May 23, 2021 via file-sharing websites. The song was later released on May 28, 2021, as a part of the Anniversary Edition to Goodbye & Good Riddance.
