Featuring hard-hitting production from UK drill producer 808Melo, “Welcome to the Party” is a drill banger and the breakout hit for Brooklyn-native rapper Pop Smoke.

The track served as the second single to his debut mixtape Meet the Woo. Released on April 23, 2019, the song would go onto gain widespread attention and popularity and remixed by many artists in the rap game, including the likes of: ASAP Ferg, Dave East, Kiing Shooter, Meek Mill, Pusha T and Rico Nasty.

Pop Smoke would release two official remixes however, with fellow rappers in Nicki Minaj and Skepta.

The instrumental for the song was originally posted by 808Melo on his SoundCloud page with the title “John Doe Part 3” (and presumably on YouTube as well, although it no longer exists on 808Melo’s YouTube page) before it was used by Pop Smoke.
