Ain’t That a Bitch (Ask Yourself)

Ain’t That a Bitch (Ask Yourself)

UGK (Ft. Devin The Dude)

This song is about situations Pimp C, Bun B, and Devin The Dude deem “a bitch” (unforunate). Pimp C and The Dude talk about trifling partners, while Bun B recites a letter the government sent UGK. This appeared on 2001’s Dirty Money.

It turns out, the biggest bitch of all is censorship—of which, this song is a victim. On all versions of the CD, you’d find the song’s version censors specific language, most noticeable in Pimp C’s verse—replacing “bitch” with “trick” (though, the chorus was left untouched). The dirty version later leaked—however, to this day, streaming the album provides the censored version, frustratingly. Rumors are that someone in the management of this album’s release did it themselves.
