Happiness Over Everything (H.O.E.)

Happiness Over Everything (H.O.E.)

Jhené Aiko (Ft. Future & Miguel)

On “Happiness Over Everything,” Jhené Aiko teams up with Future and Miguel to sing about a woman who is considered a “H.O.E.” due to her sexual freedom and confidence. Jhené embodies the woman’s perspective while Miguel and Future encourage her by saying they will not judge her.

The track interpolates the chorus from the song, “Hoe,” from Aiko’s debut mixtape, Sailing Soul(s). The title “Happiness Over Everything” references this in its acronym, “H.O.E.,” which Jhené confirmed on Twitter upon the song’s release. Miguel notably featured on the original track.

This is the fourth and final pre-release single from Chilombo.
