The song begins with what was originally the bridge and transitions into Abel’s original first verse. The chorus remains intact but is followed by a new verse from Lil Uzi Vert. He raps with the same cadences as The Weeknd’s vocals.

The “Vapor Wave” remix is a slowed and pitched down version of the original track. These are some of the most notable components of the vaporwave subgenre. Notably, one of the subgenre’s pioneers, Oneohtrix Point Never, worked closely with Abel on After Hours.

The normally pitched version of this remix was released twelve days later; however, it follows a structure similar to the original song.
