On “Barbie Dangerous” Nicki Minaj raps about her dominance in the Hip-Hop game, her individuality and her overall success and superiority within the rap game.

The song heavily samples the classic 1997 posse cut “Notorious Thugs” by the Notorious B.I.G. and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, as the beat and Nicki’s flow mirror those of the original track.

This isn’t the first time that Nicki sampled a Biggie track. She sampled his classic 1994 single “Just Playing (Dreams)” for her playful diss track “Barbie Dreams” from her 2018 album Queen, and used his signature flow for “Four Door Aventador”“ from her 2014 album The Pinkprint. Additionally, she has freestyled over a number of his tracks, “Dreams ‘07”, “Warning”, “I’m Cumin” over the course of 2007 to 2008.
