Jahlil Beats

Artist

Orlando Jahlil Tucker (b. February 8, 1988), better known as Jahlil Beats, is a producer and songwriter from Chester, Pennsylvania. He got his start by collaborating with local rapper Meek Mill and has since produced for many rappers, such as Bobby Shmurda, Lil Wayne, Anderson .Paak, 50 Cent, Tyga, Rick Ross, and more.

He is best known for producing “Hot Nigga”, which popularized the “Shmoney Dance”. His iconic producer tag is often misinterpreted, as it heavily resembles the phrase “Jungle Beats”.

After dropping out of college in 2008, Jahlil Beats returned to his city where he would meet then upcoming rapper Meek Mill. Shortly after meeting, they collaborated with each other frequently. It is at that point Jahlil says he started taking music seriously.

“Make Em’ Say” was the first song that Jahlil Beats produced in his life (2009).
