MISOGI

Artist

MISOGI is a recording artist and record producer from London, United Kingdom.

MISOGI acquired his pseudonym as a result of his love for the Street Fighter video game series. In the franchise, the name represents a special attack that pertains to the character Shin Akuma. To MISOGI, however, it is a searchable name that represents not being bound to the confines of a particular genre or period in time.

MISOGI began his musical journey in 2013, crafting dark and sample-based trap instrumentals that can be heard in his first project, OCCULT, which was released a year later in 2014. It was not until the release of his 2017 EP Death Metal, however, that his primarily dark, trap-influenced music would evolve and transform into a more light-hearted, alternative rock/punk/pop sound.

MISOGI’s versatility in the music creation process has enabled him to produce for recording artists such as Lil Yachty, Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, Yeat, BONES, and Night Lovell, among others.

In 2021, MISOGI co-founded record label and production group, Pink Noise, alongside Cedric Madden, Ginseng, Mike Frost, and ryanjacob.
