Deante’ Hitchcock

Artist

Hailing from the small Atlanta suburb Riverdale, Deante' Hitchcock is a rapper who is continuing to demonstrate flexibility across his studio work, freestyle verses, as well as performances with a live band.

Hitchcock’s career began in 2012, at the age of 19, when he released his debut mixtape, 19 Summers. Subsequent tapes Wishful Thinking (2015) and Good (2016), as well as social media freestyle clips helped build a following that spread beyond his native region. After dropping his Just a Sample – EP, Hitchcock signed a deal with the RCA-affiliated label, ByStorm, where he reintroduced himself with the six-track So Much for Good Luck (October 2017).

By this point, Hitchcock had already been favorably compared to the likes of T.I. and J. Cole. However, it was clear that he had a voice of his own, boasting a style capable of appealing to fans of both of those dissimilar artists.

A string of singles carried him into 2019 and secured him a spot on Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III, where he flexed a standout verse on “PTSD”. This was followed quickly by his 2020 debut commercial album BETTER (the follow-up to his 2016 mixtape, Good), which dropped boasting a guest-list including the likes of JID, Miguel, 6LACK and more.
